Symphonic Band
The Fleming Island Symphonic band is selected by audition and is made up of mosty upperclassmen. Over the past six years the Symphonic Band has received Superior ratings at District and State Music Performance Assessments.
The uniform for this group is provided by the band program.
Thank you to all who auditioned for the 2009-2010 Symphonic Band. Everyone did a great job. Unfortunately we cannot accept everyone into the band. The following list is preliminary and subject to change due to unforseeable situations.
Concert Band
The Fleming Island Concert Band is determined by audition and made up of all grade levels. This past year was the first year in school history the band received straight Superiors at district and straight Excellents and Music Performance Assessment.
The uniform for this group is formal black.
Jazz Band
The Jazz band at Fleming Island is also determined by audition. Over the past six years they have received superior ratings at district and state Music Performance assessments. This class meets during the plus one at the end of the day.
The uniform for this group is Kkaki pants, light blue long sleeve button down collared shirts and ties.
